Pelagic and Coastal Birdwatching

Offshore Blue Adventures

Excursions Info

San Diego coastal waters are a treasure trove of bird sightings for both the novice and experienced birders alike. Our 2 hour trip will take you on a cruise through Mission Bay to the salt water marshes to discover the many species of waterbirds that call SD home. During the winter months the bay is replete with migrating ducks, loons, and many other waterbirds, as well as our resident herons and egrets.

Our 3 hour offshore excursion will take you along the coastal Kelp beds and then out into deeper waters where we will find many pelagic species, including shearwaters, pacific loons, even an occasional albatross! Large flocks of Bonaparte gulls, terns and phalarope are often seen.

Every trip is an adventure, so grab your binoculars and join us!
