Springtime Whale Watching in San Diego

The gray whale migration is winding up with mother whales and their new calves moving through our waters, often times stopping to nurse the babies in the kelps and sheltered coves. As we bid farewell to the gray whales, we are looking forward to our spring and summer whales; the mighty blue whale and fin whales. We have already spotted a few of these majestic animals, some with youngsters in tow out along the nine-mile bank.
Nursery pods of common Dolphins are also beginning to show up, with many tiny baby dolphins. These curious and naturally gregarious animals are a special joy to see and interact with, as they play around the boat performing high jumps, rolls and surfing behind and around the boat.
Our small group trips depart everyday at 9:00am and at 1:00pm. Bring the whole family for a close up view of these amazing animals.
